After working in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney for 15 years, Dr Davina Kwong is thrilled to have The Caringbah Dentists be her new home away from home.

Dr Davina Kwong graduated from The University of Sydney in 2003 after completing a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours. Following this, Dr Kwong moved to Townsville in far north Queensland where she worked in the public health system. In this role, Dr Kwong worked in school dental vans across the city, was part of a flying service providing dental treatment to the remote indigenous community of Palm Island, serviced Adult and Juvenile correctional facilities and was part of the Head and Neck Oncology team in Townsville Hospital as a dental consultant. She also worked on oncology and special needs patients requiring dental work under general anaesthesia and assisted the maxillofacial teams with trauma cases.

After moving back to New South Wales, Dr Kwong worked for a number of years in a high-end private practice, gaining experience in cosmetic treatments. Dr Kwong was also involved as a clinical tutor in the University of Sydney Bachelor of Dentistry programme from 2005-2008. Dr Kwong received her Fellowship in the General Stream from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2007. She has maintained an active role in the Fellowship, being an examiner in the Membership in the General Stream (MRACDS) programme of the College. Dr Kwong received her Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology from Charles Sturt University in 2020 and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Science in Medicine (Sleep Medicine) at the University of Sydney. Dr Kwong also is engaged by a law firm as an expert advisor in dental complaints and litigation.

In 2007, Dr Kwong opened her own surgery, Mint Dental Care, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs of which she was owner and principal dentist for 15 years.

Dr Kwong is excited to be a member of The Caringbah Dentists family, and has a special interest in periodontics, but also enjoys implant and restorative dentistry, and cosmetic rehabilitations. She is committed to continuing professional development through continuing education to improve all aspects of her dentistry. Dr Kwong is a member of the Australian Dental Association. In her spare time, she is a keen scuba diver, an adventurous cook, tries not to kill her houseplants and enjoys spending time with family and her dogs.
