Dr Ram

Dr Ram Nathwani graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor degree in Dental Surgery in 2009. His interests include preventative and restorative dentistry with a conservative approach. He has developed a keen interest in general dentistry, prosthodontics and endodontics. Currently he is furthering his education by completing a Diploma in Implant Surgery through Charles Sturt University.

He is a strong believer in actively listening to his patients and providing evidence-based advice, so they feel empowered to make informed decisions about their oral health. His expertise allows him to offer patients considerable choice over a broad range of treatments.

Dr Nathwani began his career in Bathurst, NSW and moved back to Sydney to work in the south-west area. He has been working in the Sutherland Shire for over five years and now has been able to join Dr Burrell who has been a cornerstone of the Shire community for over 40 years.

Dr Nathwani lives in the Shire with his family. He enjoys spending time with his family at Cronulla beach, teaching his son how to swim and play sport. He also enjoys discovering new cultures through the medium of food.

Dr Rowan

Dr Rowan Burrell has lived in Sutherland Shire all his life and grew up in Cronulla where he attended South Cronulla Primary School. Both his parents and grandparents had their own businesses in the area going back to the 1940’s.

Dr Rowan gained a Commonwealth Scholarship and attended Sydney University and entered Dentistry. After completing his degree and gaining experience by working in a local practice, Dr Rowan started his own practice in Caringbah and has been there since 1977.

The practice grew quickly, and he became well established given his very conservative and preventative orientation. Over these years, he has attended international and Australian dental courses to keep abreast of new trends in dentistry.

In 2018 the practice was taken over by Dr Ashok and Dr Ram, while Dr Rowan continues to work on a reduced basis. This change means modern treatment options while still maintaining a friendly and conservative approach to dentistry.
